

Bordeaux, May 14 - The BNP Paribas Primrose tennis tournament, a true institution in the Bordeaux sporting landscape, has just unveiled the main draw for its 14th edition, following the draw which took place this afternoon at Villa Primrose.
Since 2008, the BNP Paribas Primrose tournament has grown steadily to become a major sporting event in the region. For this 2023 edition, he takes a new step by passing ATP Challenger 175, a newly created category better endowed with ATP points and prize money. With the possibility of now welcoming players from the world's top 11, the tournament had already unveiled prestigious registered players during its press conference last April. Today, the draw was an opportunity to confirm the players who will compete on the emblematic clay court of Villa Primrose, a historic century-old club.
The tournament therefore has the honor of welcoming this year tennis players as famous as Andy Murray (ranked 42nd at the ATP, former world number 1, 3 Grand Slam titles including 2 times that of Wimbledon) and Stan Wawrinka (ranked 84th , former world number 3, 3 Grand Slam titles).
Initially announced, Gaël Monfils is withdrawing from the BNP Paribas Primrose tournament. Meanwhile, Dominic Thiem joins the main draw following the results in Rome, therefore, the Wild Cards have been redistributed to Mathias Bourgue (ranked 392nd), Arthur Cazaux (ranked 197th) and the promising Harold Mayot (ranked 196th).
The French players also stand out with the participation of Richard Gasquet (ranked 44rd at the ATP, former world number 7 with 16 titles in the ATP 250), Adrian Mannarino (ranked 45th at the ATP, three times in the round of 16 at Wimbledon ), Corentin Moutet (ranked 67th), Arthur Fils (ranked 119th), Benoît Paire (ranked 160th) and Ugo Humbert (ranked 50th).

The qualifications have already started this Sunday, May 14 and continue tomorrow. The main draw will start on Monday May 15 directly at the end of the qualifications with matches as prestigious as Dominic Thiem against Benoît Paire, Arthur Cazaux against Arthur Rinderknech or Ugo Humbert who will meet Arthur Fils. Impossible not to notice the possible meeting between Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray from the second round!
