Since last year, the tournament has reached the ATP 175 status. This new category, better endowed with up to 175 ATP points and a total prize money of 205 000 €, allows it to welcome players ranked from 11th in the world.
Top seeds of the tournament, you will find Sebastian Baez (ranked 19th, double winner of the Rio and Santiago ATP this year) whose reaching his best rank for the current season, as well as Tomàs Martin Etcheverry (ranked 27th, quarterfinalist at Roland-Garros last year) finalist at Primrose at the previous edition.
This new edition will notably feature former players from the top 10, including Stan Wawrinka (ranked 87th and previous 3rd best player in the world with 3 titles in the Grand Slam) and Roberto Bautista Agut (ranked 19th, former 9th worldwide, with 10 ATP titles and Wimbledon semifinalist in 2019). The first wild card has been awarded to Richard Gasquet (ranked 116th, former world number 7 with 16 ATP 250 titles), who will make his return after reaching the semifinals in the 2023 edition of the tournament.
This 15th edition will also welcome some of the most renowned French players along with the talented Arthur Fils (ranked 32nd, reaching his best ranking as a quarterfinalist in Barcelona last week), Arthur Cazaux (ranked 75th, proud of his incredible performance in Australia earlier this year), as well as Arthur Rinderknech (ranked 77th), Constant Lestienne (ranked 90th), Hugo Gaston (95th), and the young Luca Van Assche (ranked 99th). The program for this 15th anniversary edition of the BNP Paribas Primrose tournament includes a grand opening ceremony launching the competition on May 12th at 6:30 pm, featuring an exhibition match between famous French Olympic rewarded players. Additionally, Julien Benneteau, the edition's patron, will step onto the Bordeaux clay alongside Richard Gasquet, Michaël Llodra, Nicolas Mahut, and other surprise guests! To close the semi-finals on May 18th, an exceptional concert will take place on the Central Court, featuring the talented Matthieu Gonet, a famous composer, and Lise Orivel, a renowned violist. In an unforgettable setting, the artists will perform the original soundtracks of the greatest cinema successes to delight all music and tennis enthusiasts. A major novelty of this edition: the BNP Paribas Primrose unveils the introduction of night sessions, creating an intense atmosphere highly appreciated by spectators.

Founded in 1897, Villa Primrose has become a true institution, with its social dimension making it one of Bordeaux’s most dynamic economical networks.
